Ex-EUROPE Guitarist KEE MARCELLO's Music Deemed 'Too Hard' By Concert Promoter
June 8, 2004MelodicRock.com is reporting: "[Former EUROPE guitarist] Kee Marcello's gig [Monday] night in Stockholm turned into a farce after the promoter changed the game plan three minutes before Kee was due to hit the stage! In an apparent last-minute change of heart, the promoter deemed the music 'too hard' and would potentially 'scare away the eating and drinking guest in the area!' It was finally decided that they could play three songs and no more, so the gig started 35 minutes late and lasted for about 12 minutes. The team behind getting Kee to play are furious and have stated this was a contract violation and are looking at taking further action. Kee did tell the audience about it, who thankfully accepted it wasn't Kee's fault.
"Sweden's major newspaper Aftonbladet were quickly on the scene and have reported about the incident in today's issue with the headline: 'Europe guitarist stopped — music to hard." See the Aftonbladet story at this location.
